In 1978, the government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh created the Ministry of Youth Development, which was later renamed as the Ministry of Youth and Sports, to transform the youth into responsible, productive and responsible people by making responsible, self-confident and self-reliant. Youth Development was formed in 1981 for the implementation of youth programs at the field level. According to the National Youth Policy, the 18-35 year old population of Bangladesh is defined as youth. According to the 2011 census and household calculation, the population of this age group is 4.84 million 24 thousand 704 people, about one-third of the total population of the country.
